Teeth Time

Jill is in the Dental Hygeine Program at CSI and Carson and I have been her patients this semester.  She does such a great job and we are excited for her to finish.  Carson did pretty well.  He went to the dentist last summer for the first time so he knew what to expect.  Macey was a little stinker and just wanted down to roam around!

Fun Weekend

Sarah's b-day was on the 18th so they came home for the weekend and Bryker's first trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We had so much fun and spent a lot of time in Filer.  On Friday we went over to spend the night.  There were a lot of people in and out and all of the sudden I realized I couldn't find Carson.  We looked for 10 minutes inside and out calling his name and I was getting panicked.  Ryan suggested I look and see if our gameboy was still in the diaper bag.  It was but Jill's was missing.  We ended up finding him by my parent's bed hiding with the gameboy.  I was so mad!!!  He got the game taken away and he went to timeout.  I usually only let him play in the car but that will change because he is so obsessed with Mario.  I grounded him from the wii for 4 days and now he has a 30 minute limit if he plays it.  He still hasn't gotten the gameboy back.   I am trying to find a balance with the technology in our lives.  He picks things up quite fast and then becomes hooked.  We are excited for the warmer weather so we can get out of the house!

Saturday Sarah and I went to town and found some good deals at Old Navy and Once Upon a Child.  I got a pretty Easter dress for Macey for only $6 and another one for just $4.50.  I was excited because the dresses at the store were at least $20.  Everyone met together that night and we had dinner for Sarah's bday.  It is amazing how big a group we are now!  Jill and Kade taught us to play Quiddler (which I loved--but totally lost!)

On Sunday evening we went back over because Grandma and Jay were in town for a funeral so it was good to see them. ***funny note--I can't remember if it was this weekend or the one before but Carson said something funny after church.  I asked him what he learned about in Sunbeams....he said Jesus (that is always his answer!)  He told me, "mom, Jesus has powers!"  I said, "what kind?"  He says, "He can FLY!"  I said no he can't and Carson responds with, "YES he can....he lives in Heaven and it is really up high so how does he get there?  Totally cracked me up!  Carson said he had huge wings!  I told him no wings but yes he can fly!

Monday we went back into town to see Sarah and Terry one last time and kiss Bryker goodbye.  That kid is so dang cute and they should hurry and finish school and then move next door to me so we can be neighbors!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Yesterday Carson told me, "Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day!"  He didn't know what it was, but he was excited!  We picked out a green shirt to wear for preschool and was supposed to take a green tractor for show and tell but left it on the couch.  I have to write about this green top.  My cousin Allison passed along an awesome box of clothes for Carson and he found this athletic top and shorts in the box.  He was so excited.....he put them on and said, "mom am I stylin' ?"  and he also thinks they are his fast clothes.  When he wears them he can run much faster than normal (or so he says!).
   When I picked him up from preschool he was so excited to tell me about the leprechaun that was at the preschool.  The kids went outside for awhile and when they came back inside a leprechaun had been making mischief in the preschool and made a mess tipping over chairs and tables and trying to steal the kids gold.  He left behind glitter and they all thought it was great.  Carson was telling Sarah about it and he said, "they love gold and wear little hats!"

Just tall enough

Apparently Macey is just tall enough to reach her bowl of baby oatmeal off the table.  I set it down and then put her in the living room while I ran to use to bathroom really quickly....bad idea!  She was so cute and looked so proud of herself as she rubbed her hand in it and then ate it.  Good thing I cleaned the floor yesterday!

 Then came bath time.  She tries to drink out of the faucet, it is so funny!

Crazy boy

I was getting ready and Carson came in to show me that he was wearing Macey's pink coat.  He is all about getting his picture taken lately so I had to grab the camera!

Girl's Weekend

Kaci invited all the girls to her sister Brandi's house in Boise for the weekend.  It was really fun!  Kaci's mom and two sisters were there as well as Brandi's sister in laws and MIL and GMIL.  We chatted, ate yummy food, did some crafting, shopping, and just sat around!  I had Macey with us and there was another baby too.  Macey was being really clingy and fussy and in the night woke up screaming and would not stop.  She woke everyone up and I was so stressed that we went for a little drive at 3 AM!  Next morning I could see a new tooth that had broken through. 

Carson got to stay home with dad and had a blast!  He told me they were going to play Mario all day.  Zac was so awesome and cleaned out all my flower beds to get ready for spring, thanks babe!

Macey 10 months

She is growing so fast!  She has 6 teeth and thinks that biting is so funny....our toes do not agree!  She has this naughty little laugh and when you tell her no she just does it again and laughs at you.  She is very stubborn and wants to do everything herself.  Carson is her best pal and she is a very big mama's girl.  Da da is her favorite thing to say and she will NOT say mama.  She wants everything that Carson has and loves it when she finds his sippy cups (she drinks as fast as she can before I take it away!)  I am having such a fun time dressing her....although you would think she was dying to hear her get her clothes or diaper changed.  Her hair is starting to fill in more and grow longer so I look forward to learning how to do cute girl hair do's.  Here are a few pictures.....

My Favorite Things

A few of my blogging friends did a favorite things post and I loved them!  You can find theirs here (Brandi) and here (Heather).  So here is a list of some of my favorite things:

 1. Simply Raspberry Lemonade---This drink is so yummy!  My mom had some last time we were at her house and I couldn't stop drinking it.

 2. Despicable Me movie......I didn't know what to expect when we got this movie but we loved it, so funny!

3. Which leads me to number three....which is Netflix . We live pretty far away from town and it is nice to just get movies in the mail.  We finally got a RedBox in Buhl but don't always go into town everyday so Netflix is a better deal for us.

4.  One Pretty Thing  I love this website!  It compiles all sorts of craft ideas

5. Hylands teething gel-- I used their tablets with Carson but they were recalled so I was glad to see there is a gel form.  It even made my wisdom tooth feel better!  It really helps to calm Macey down and sooth her gums. 

 6. Melaleuca Chapstick---I have used this for over 10 years and I love it!  Unfortunately I recently had to cancel my account so I hope my stockpile lasts for awhile!

7. Midnight Pomegranate foaming hand soap--A lady that I visit teach had this and so did my Grandma, it smells so good! 

8. Sonic lemon berry slush---I LOVE drinks from Sonic ....especially from 2-4 p.m. (Happy Hour = half price!)  and the lemon berry slush is my favorite!

9. Children's Book Series---I like these because they are quick, easy, and fun to read.  I have read 8 out of 10 39 Clues Books and 6 out of 8 Charlie Bone books

10. Grapefruit gummies from Winco.  I got these at a wedding reception last weekend and they are so good....I just need to find the pink ones!

11. Facebook....not for posting every detail of my life but for the fact that I can follow all of my favorite deal blogs in one place.  All of their posts show up on my feed and that way I don't waste time going to each website.

Work out buddies

 Zac and I have been doing the 30 day shred DVD with Jillian Michaels off and on.  Carson was so cute wanting to do it just like dad!  Halfway through he changed into his workout shorts.  Macey even started bouncing along with the music.
