Science Time

We checked out a book from the library called Purplelicious (girl book--but I wanted to read it) and in the book the girl adds pink to blue in her painting and gets purple.  I told Carson we could try it out with food coloring.  He loved it and we had to fill the cups several times so he could make his own colors.  It was fun but next time an apron would be a good idea!  I love how curious and eager to learn Carson is.

Best Friends

Macey adores Carson!  She always smiles when she sees him and wants to do whatever he is doing.  Carson was watching a movie while I folded laundry and they started to play in the laundry basket.  Macey was pretty pleased with herself when she crawled in without any help.

I caught her right as she was sneezing.....I love her long eye lashes!

quite the morning

Sunday morning is stressful for me because of my lack of planning.   Zac is almost always gone for meetings and so I get the kids ready alone.  I am usually getting last minute primary stuff together as well so needless to say it gets sort of crazy.  Well I was actually doing pretty well today and had all my stuff together so I just needed to bathe the kids and get myself dressed and ready.  I was putting my makeup on while the kids were in the tub and Carson starts saying...poop....mom there is poop in the tub!  I turned around and didn't even know what to do......it was so gross!  I guess I should consider myself lucky that this has never happened until now.  Luckily the toxic cloud hadn't reached Carson or some of the toys yet so I hurried and got him out and threw the toys in the sink.  I drained the water and rinsed Macey and then scrubbed the tub out.  By the time I got them back in the tub, out and dressed, out the door and in the car we were 20 minutes late......oh well there is always next week!

***sorry if this grossed you out but it is our family journal!

Quick Trip

My parents and Jill were headed to Utah for a wedding reception in Garland and then going on to Ogden to stay the night with my Grandma----so we invited ourselves and tagged along.  It snowed/rained all during the reception and was kind of scary to drive to Ogden.  The next morning we woke up to lots of snow.  We hung out that morning and then Grandma and Jay fed us a wonderful turkey lunch.  The roads were all clear so we headed to Pocatello to love on baby Bryker and see Sarah and Terry.  We stayed for a few hours and had dinner with them and watched the Amazing Race (go cowboys!)   I wish that they lived closer but I am grateful that it is only 2 hours instead of several states away.  Thanks for letting us tag along grandma and grandpa!

Swimming Party

Today was Aunt Tanille's and Grandma Kris' birthday!  Ty planned a surprise party down at Thousand Springs and we all met down there to eat lunch and swim.  We don't go swimming very often and Macey had never been so it was really fun.  Carson is still pretty timid in the water so hopefully we can go more often so he gets used to it.  I forgot a camera so I am stealing these pictures from Matthew and Niki's blog.

Zac's Birthday

It feels weird to me that we are getting close to 30!  Well not me for a few more years, but Zac turned 29 this year.  He said 29 is not bad but he is not looking forward to 30 next year.  We went out to dinner at  Applebees without the kids.  Thanks Ryan and Kaci for having them over!  I am thankful for Zac for the great husband and father that he is....love you babe!

Suckers and sleeping

Carson came home from his preschool Valentines party with lots of candy so we let Macey try a sucker.......she loved it!
I went in to check on Carson and found him like this! Lisa said that Zac used to put all of his stuffed animals in bed too.

Meeting Bryker

Sarah and Terry welcomed their first baby into the world on Thursday February 3, 2011. His name is Bryker T Darrington and he was 9lbs. 3ozs and 22 inches long.  Jill and I took the kids and drove to Pocatello on Friday morning to meet the new little man.  He is so dang cute and we love him to pieces!
