When cows laugh....

Carson just told me, "Mom did you know that when cows laugh milk comes out of their noses!"

And it came to pass....

When we read our scriptures we have Carson repeat 2 or 3 verses and then Zac and I read the rest of the chapter.  Tonight as we sat down to read, Carson says, "And it came to pass" before we had even started.  Funny thing was that that was actually how the chapter started!

He has done very well when we help him to memorize a scripture or article of faith!

Zac was leaving for work this morning and as he walked out of the bedroom he said, "love you Macey!"  Macey says back, "wuv woo too!"  You should have seen the grin on Zac's face.  This little girl has got dad wrapped around her finger. 

As I was getting the kids breakfast, I told Carson I was going to jump in the shower real fast.  He tells me, "leave some hot water for me."  Where does he come up with this stuff? 

Carson learned to letter "d" at preschool this past week. He came home and told me that his teacher said it was ok to say "duh"   I was confused at first and then realized they had been practicing the d sound.  He told his teacher, "we don't say duh!"

One of my favorite things Carson says it actually.  He will start to say something and then he adds in an actually and it cracks me up.......for instance he said, "actually, I would like to read this book"

Butterscotch

Carson LOVES butterscotch candy! I got him a whole bag of them from the bulk candy bin at WinCo.  Today he was eating one and told me that we should make our own.....we just needed butter and scotch!  It made me smile!00

Ryan's Family is Sealed!

On Saturday August 13, 2011  Ryan and Kaci were sealed in the Twin Falls Temple.  After they were sealed together, sweet little Mackie was brought in and sealed to her parents.  It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen and I am so glad we could be apart of that special day for them.

The Reception

The first reception was held in Twin Falls at a new stake center.  The gym was decorated to beautiful in black and white.  The room was tented in 3 sections with lights inbetween the sections.  My mom made us these pretty skirts and Jill gave us the fun necklaces.

Pretending to be mad.....I do sort of feel bad about the bag of rice that was all over the inside of the truck :)

Jill and Kade

Jill and Kade Searle were married on Friday August 12, 2011.   They were sealed in the Twin Falls temple and it was beautiful.  We have really gotten to know Kade the past few months and my children totally love him.  It was so fun to share in their special day....sadly these are the only four pictures I took at the temple.

 This is Amelia....Carson's new best friend!  She is my cousin Sandi's daughter.  They live in Utah and we stayed with them for two nights the week of the wedding.  Jill, Kade, and Kaci all had their endownments out in the Mt. Timp. temple.  Carson has asked several times when we get to go see "Melia" again.

Jacobson Camping trip 2011

This year we stayed close to home for our camping trip and stayed at Thousand Springs Resort.  We had two spots right next to the river and had a great time!  The first night we had a little storm and a branch fell on our (borrowed) tent and ripped a hole.  Other than that everything was fun.  We swam in the pool and went boating.  I had a huge crash on the wakeboard, Zac did awesome on the skis, and Carson went tubing for the first time.  He is pretty timid around water so we were really proud of him!  Macey was so cute....she had to do everything the boys did and was dirty from head to toe the whole time.  Overall it was a fun couple days of good food, good company, and a great time!

Under-Overs

Carson woke up a few days ago and told me he wanted to wear his under-overs....I wasn't sure what he meant so he tried to explain them to me and says, "You know like Merritt always wears!"  Then I realized that he meant over-alls.  Totally cracked me up.  He was convinced that he didn't have to wear a shirt with them because they came with a shirt.  "see mom this part is the shirt---it goes over your top part!"   I wish I had taken a picture of him at my parent's house because he did end up shirtless by the end of the day courtesy of a bloody nose.  He was so darn cute running around in over-alls with no shirt!

**Merritt is his friend who moved to Russia a month ago.  He was mad at me one day and went to his hot wheels jeep and said he was going to Russia!

Today we went to Jill's work and picked cherries.  I told Carson we were going on a picking date and he says, thanks for inviting me!"  Sometimes he cracks me up.  He had fun climbing in the trees and eating lots of cherries.  Macey hung out with Jill and was covered in sticky cherry goo when we came back!

Carson got this sleeping bag for his birthday but we gave it to him early so he could go to Father and Son's with Zac.  He had to bring it over to gma and gpa's house to show them.  The girls were having a great time playing in it.
