Meeting Bryker

Sarah and Terry welcomed their first baby into the world on Thursday February 3, 2011. His name is Bryker T Darrington and he was 9lbs. 3ozs and 22 inches long.  Jill and I took the kids and drove to Pocatello on Friday morning to meet the new little man.  He is so dang cute and we love him to pieces!

Break the ice and a boo boo

Carson has loved playing this game at Grandma Jacobson's house so we got him his own for Christmas.  He wanted Zac to play with him one night after work and they had a great time.  We have been working on Carson picking up his own toys and helping out more and he is doing a great job.  Macey was playing in her infant carseat (that we no longer use---ahhh she is growing up too fast!) and launched herself into the edge of the rock around the fireplace.  I am so glad that she didn't hit harder as I am sure it would have split open.  She ended up with this line down her forehead, so sad!

New Haircut

This is my new haircut and I LOVE IT!!!  My sister in law always does a great job but I think this time she nailed it!  I was nervous to go so short and styled but I am so happy with it.  It is easy to do and is a fun change.  The only thing is that I will have to get it cut every 6 weeks to maintain the style.....I might need to have Tanille remind me!  Carson wanted in on the pictures too, so check out our photo shoot.

Hop 2 It

We were getting cabin fever and wanted to do something fun so we took the kids to Hop2It.  It was a Saturday and it was PACKED!!!  There were so many people there and pretty much no one followed the rule of staying with your children at all times.  We had to hold Macey the whole time or she would have gotten run over!  Next time we go we need to bring a friend for Carson to run with.

The past two months

Well I haven't blogged in almost two months because...........we are having a baby!!!    Yeah right, just kidding!  I wish that I had a good excuse but really it just comes down to I didn't make time for it.  I just need to catch up a few posts and then I am going to print out our blog for 2010.  I can't wait to have it printed!
        Over the past two months we have been pretty busy.  In December Zac had LASIK eye surgery at the Hoopes Vision Center in Utah.  We had entered a contest to try and win it for free but sadly we didn't win.  Zac made a funny video to submit (search farm boy rap on youtube if you want to see it).  We are so glad that he did the surgery and he now has 20/20 vision!  We spent Christmas eve with Zac's family and then Christmas morning at our house for the first time and it was so fun to see Carson's reaction this year.  Macey was content to just hang out...until Carson opened his bbq set....then she really wanted that.   We went to my parents after we opened our presents and spent the day there.  It is so fun to be with family on the holidays.  We are lucky to have everyone so close.  We also got a new niece in December and she is so cute!
      Zac was called to be the Young Men's president and is a little overwhelmed but looking forward to the fun things that will bring.  I am getting used to getting the kids ready for church by myself.  It helps that we now have church at 11 instead of 9.  I am still the primary chorister and this year the theme is about scriptures so we have read every night with Carson....hopefully we will keep it up!  Happy New Year from the Jacobson's!

Macey with her first ponytail!  I took this picture this morning.  She has a bunch of hair on top and some really long strands in the back.  Sort of like a little mullet! She is 8 months old now.....I can't believe how the time has gone.  She had 4 teeth, has been crawling for about 2 months, stands herself up on everything---which results in a head bonk or cut mouth at least once a day, follows her brother everywhere, loves baby food, hates her crib, gives the best goofy smiles, claps her hands together, says da da---but not ma ma yet :(
